Our family has experienced a number of changes in recent months.  So, my husband and I thought it would be a good time to take a family vacation. We wanted to get away together, reconnect, and rest.  Our vacation was filled with sightseeing, fun at the pool, time together, and teething (our infant son started to cut his four, yes four, front teeth at the beginning of our vacation).

We visited the historic triangle in Virginia, which includes Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We also took a day trip to Virginia Beach so our son, who loves sharks, could see some up close at the aquarium.

Halfway through the trip, I decided to start capturing video with the intention of creating a family vacation video inspired by one my sister made of her family’s vacation last year. I had so much fun catching clips and then putting everything together to create this video of our family vacation. I am also so blessed to have an amazing sister, owner of Wildwood Media, who has taught and mentored me so I could create this video.

What you need: Smart phone (what I used), GoPro, or other video device

What you do:  During your vacation, take video clips (which you will probably already be doing) and when you get home send the clips to me to edit and create your personalized video!
